You will enjoy a long free break until the afternoon to wander in the Piazzetta, admire the Faraglioni, visit the Gardens of Augustus or the Villa of Axel Munthe in Anacapri, tasting a delicious ice-cream, and experiencing the atmosphere of the famous "dolce vita" or the emotion of the "Grotta Azzurra".

TRIP TO "LA MORTELLA" BOTANICAL PARK

La Mortella is divided in two parts: a lower garden, in the Valley, and a superior garden on the terraced hill with dry-stone walls; it covers an area of approx. 2 hectares and houses a vast collection of exotic and rare plants, which is enriched year by year. For the variety and wealth of its collections "La Mortella" can be considered a botanical garden. The whole garden is designed with taste and skill, making the most of the striking rocky environment and the views over the Mediterranean, and it is enriched by fountains, swimming pools, waterways that allow the cultivation of a superb collection of aquatic plants such as papyrus, lotus flower and tropical water lilies. The several areas of the garden are connected by paths, dry stone walls, ramps and steps, which allow visitors to reach the highest area and enjoy beautiful views of the bay of Forio. There are three tropical greenhouses in the garden: the Victoria House, where the Victoria amazonica in cultivated, the Serra delle Orchidee and the Temple of the Sun.
Other points of interest are the Sala Thai, a quiet place for meditation surrounded by an oriental atmosphere,  lotus flowers, peonies, bamboo and Japanese maples; the Cascata del Coccodrillo, also in the upper garden, whose watercourse winds through olive and agapanthus, the Ninfeo with a surprising formal design among the Mediterranean vegetation, and William's Rock, where the composer's ashes are kept.

THE HISTORICAL CENTRE & THE ARAGONESE CASTLE OF ISCHIA TOUR

On a small atoll surfaced from the Tyrrhenian Sea, very close to the coast, stands the marvelous Aragonese Castle of Ischia, island of the Neapolitan flegrean archipelago.  The tidal island of trachitic rock on the eastern side is connected to the island by a masonry bridge of about 220 m that led directly inside the ancient village of Celsa, today known as Ischia Ponte. Geologically, the islet, where the Aragonese Castle stands, is a bubble of magma derived from a syntactic eruption that occurred over 300 thousand years ago, and over time it has been consolidated thanks to further eruptive phenomena, giving life to the phenomenon known as the stagnation dome. The fascinating Aragonese Castle is the favorite destination of tourists from all over the world who, especially in summer, almost take the island of Ischia by storm, populating it with colors and noise.  The Aragonese Castle in reality, a fortress excavated between the rocks and planted on the waves of the sea, was built by Alfonso V of Aragon towards the middle of the fifteenth century and was accessed through a tunnel; before the fortification was built on the islet, it could only be accessed by sea. The suggestive tunnel is about 400 m long and the whole path is illuminated by high skylights that in the past served as "piombatoi" through which soldiers dropped boiling oil or stones to defend the castle from enemies' assaults; the next stretch is a mule track that climbs uphill to the island's peak in the sunlight, from this road the minor paths branch off to gardens and other buildings.

The tour of the island allows tourists to discover the most characteristic places, and the beautiful landscapes of the "green island". We will make short stops throughout the journey in the particularly evocative corners of the six municipalities: Ischia, Casamicciola Terme, Lacco Ameno, Forio, Serrara Fontana, Barano, and in particular in S. Angelo, an ancient fishing village.

ISCHIA MOTORBOAT TOUR (EVERYDAY)
Tour of the island by an exclusive motorboat (in bathing suit)

We will sail the island, making several stops for taking a swim, continuing to the towns of Casamicciola Terme, Lacco Ameno (Baia di S.Montano), Forio (Beach of S.Francesco, Bay of Citara, Sorgente di "Sorceto" up to reach S.Angelo (an ancient seafaring village). We will then go to  the Maronti beach (the largest on the island), and visit the Bay of S.Pancrazio. We will return to Ischia along the Aragonese Castle and the ancient village of Ischia Ponte.

Cost per Person: €50.00 + VAT (10%) . The fee includes: transfer to and from hotel, exclusive motorboat (the departure times will be agreed upon later).

Departure from the Hotel Continetal Terme at 2.30 pm (boarding at 2.45 pm). The motorboat runs along the island, coasting the towns of Casamicciola Terme, Lacco Ameno (Bay of  S. Montano), Forio (S. Francesco Beach, Citara Bay, "Sorceto" Spring up to S. Angelo, an ancient seafaring village, with 1 hour stop in the village. After the stop, the tour will continue to the Maronti Beach (the largest on the island), Baia di S.Pancrazio, and then return to the port of Ischia along the Aragonese Castle and the ancient village of Ischia Ponte.
