General Info on Transportation

Reaching us is not too difficult, as there are many ways to the city of Naples. Thanks to its strategic position, Naples can be easily reached by air, by sea and over land. Once in Naples, any taxi will bring you to Naples Beverello docks where you can take a ferry to Ischia.

How to get to Ischia

Naples Capodichino airport is located about 10 km from downtown, approx. 30 minutes by taxi or bus. 

The taxi stand is located outside Terminal 1. If you choose to catch a taxi, ask the driver to apply the fixed rate (21,00€) from the airport to Naples Beverello docks ( before boarding the vehicle ) where you can take a ferry to Ischia.  To check the taxi fares visit Taxi rates. 

Immediately outside Terminal 1 (where all incoming flights land) you can also find the Alibus: this coach takes passengers to the center of Naples and stops at both Piazza Garibaldi (near Central Railway Station) and Piazza Municipio (close to Beverello Docks). Tickets are available on board at € 5.00.

Times change frequently: thus, check times of crossings a couple of days before you travel. You don’t need to book your ferry tickets: you can just show up and buy them at the dock.

Once at Ischia the way to the conference venue (Hotel Continental Terme) takes 30 minutes by walk (2 km). Taxi are also easily available.
